Transcrime si aggiudica il progetto SHRINEs

Transcrime has been awarded, as partner, project SHRINEs, funded by the European Commission as part of the Internal Security Fund – Police programme.

This project will last for 2 years, and will promote an inter-faith network to raise awareness and dialogue among different religions on the importance of using technological solutions to better protect places of worship. Thus, apart from religious communities, tech providers, LEAs and public authorities will be actively engaged.

The project will study concrete tech applications in different places of worship identified by religious representatives, exploring their potential beneficial impact on prevention and protection as well as the legal, ethical, and moral implications of their use.

Transcrime will take part in this consortium, coordinated by Fondazione SAFE, leading Work Package 2 activities, including the establishment of the inter-faith network and a set of workshops ending in a report on the vulnerabilities and threats of places of worship. It will also define a sustainability plan for the network after the completion of the project.
