Alessandro Corti
PhD Student
Alessandro Corti is a PhD candidate in the XL cycle of the International Doctorate in Criminology at the Università Cattolica del Sacro Cuore of Milan, and a Researcher at Transcrime. Between 2016 and 2021, he graduated with a LLB in European Law from Maastricht University, with a LLM in International and Transnational Criminal Law from the University of Amsterdam, and with a MSc in Public Policy from the United Nations University MERIT. In 2020, he developed a research project on the preventive detention of irregular migrants for the International Organization for Migration in Cairo. In 2021, he worked for the Investigative Division of the International Criminal Court. From late 2021 to the end of 2024, he was engaged in public administration and worked as a Public Affairs Specialist, both in the private sector and in the context of electoral campaigns. His main research interests include organized crime, crimes related to migration, and international crimes.
