Diagnóstico del marco legal, regulatorio, institucional y tecnológico del Registro de Beneficiarios Finales de República Dominicana
The objective of this consultancy is to assist from a technical point of view the Government of the Dominican Republic in identifying the legal, regulatory, institutional, human resources and technological capabilities framework for the effective development of the Dominican Republic’s Registry of Beneficial Owners, consistently with international standards, in particular with respect to the FATF Recommendations (24 and 25) and international best practices.
The activity will be implemented in three phases:
- Operational Planning: definition, together with the focal point on behalf of the Government of the Dominican Republic and the IADB, of an operational plan to carry out the technical assistance consultancy.
- National Diagnosis: Identification and analysis of the different elements that must be taken into account before developing and implementing the Final Beneficiary Registry in the Dominican Republic.
- Action Plan: Description of suggested reforms for the development of an effective beneficial ownership registration system that complies with international standards, through an information session with relevant organizations to educate participating officials and entities on the findings of the advice, suggested reforms and on the necessary measures for the correct development of the Register of Final Beneficiaries in the Dominican Republic.
