CSABOT

Civil Society Advancing Beneficial Ownership Transparency

Funded by European Commission Directorate - General for Financial Stability, Financial Services and Capital Markets Union (DG FISMA)
Starting date March 2021
End date February 2023

Project CSABOT aims at boosting awareness and building capacity of civil society actors on the role that beneficial ownership information could play in the prevention of and fight against money laundering and terrorist financing. It also aims at creating synergies between the activities of civil society organisations and the efforts of the Union to put an end to money laundering, financial crime and other abusive and criminal practices.

The project is coordinated by Transparency International and involves as partners Transcrime, Tax Justice Network and the Government Transparency Institute.

Thanks to CSABOT  we will strengthen our expertise and network in terms of analysing firm ownership data to better understand and prevent organised and financial crime.
