Transcrime has been awarded project Recover
Transcrime has been awarded, as partner, project RECOVER – Mutual recognition of freezing and confiscation orders between efficiency and the rule of law, funded by the European Commission as part of the Justice Programme (JUST).
This project, carried out in cooperation with the University of Catania and several judicial authorities at EU level, will aim at improving the implementation of the Regulation no. 1805/2018 on the mutual recognition(MR) of freezing and confiscation orders as a way to fight organized crime.
Beyond developing the first impact assesment of this regulation, the project will also develop a network of Prosecutors, Judicial and Asset Recovery Offices (AROs) from 10 different Member States. It will also create a comprehensive database, collecting best practices, guidelines and proposals to enhance an effective application of this regulation.
