Criminal infiltration in the economy

This volume collects the proceedings of the conference “The Dynamics of Criminal Infiltration into the Economy: Risks and Remedies” (March 21, 2024, Milan – more information available here), organised by Transcrime – Joint Research Centre on Innovation and Crime of the Università Cattolica del Sacro Cuore – and ANFACI (Associazione Nazionale Funzionari Amministrazione Civile dell’Interno), with the collaboration and support of Publimedia srl.

The event brought together thirty-two distinguished speakers, including researchers, prefects, magistrates, businesses, and banks, to analyze criminal infiltration strategies in legal markets—an advanced stage of organized crime. The contributions highlighted the urgency of integrated cooperation between criminal prosecution, preventive measures by prefects, academic research aimed at developing risk indicators and innovative tools, and public-private synergy. A compendium of data, strategies, and exemplary case studies, this volume brings together diverse skills and perspectives to protect the economy and foster a culture of legality.
