Local Safety Audits in Latin America and the Caribbean

The project aims at supporting the Center of Excellence for Statistical Information on Government, Crime, Victimization and Justice (CdE) of UNODC and INEGI in drafting the Local Safety Audit in Iztapalapa, Mexico. Firstly, by giving suggestions on how to improve the current methodology and the analysis. Secondly, by defining a spatial risk assessment considering contextual factors. Thirdly, by enhancing the prevention capabilities of the local law enforcement agencies and relevant authorities by reviewing the current methodologies for spatial crime analysis and forecasting.
