FERMI

This project, funded by the European Commission as part of the Horizon programme, aims at analysing fake news and their sources, together with all the socioeconomic factors that may affect both their spreading and their effects on society, through a holistic and cross-disciplinary methodology.

Producing innovative technological developments, FERMI will also help European Police Authorities in detecting and monitoring how fake news spread, as well as putting in place security countermeasures. Finally, it will produce and diffuse specific training material for different stakeholders to counter the spread and limit the impact of fake news, while increasing digital trust.

As partner, Transcrime will lead Work Package 3 and will work on the creation of a tool for the prediction and analysis of offline crimes related to fake news.
