The project provides strategic analysis of the threats and risks related to illicit trafficking of waste (IWT) across Europe in order to improve the prevention capabilities of EU public and private agencies. It involves as partners Tilburg University and The Police University College (POLIISI).

BlockWaste (Blocking the Loopholes for Illicit Waste Trafficking) is a research project co-funded by the Internal Security Fund of the European Union and leaded by a consortium of three partners: Police University College (project coordinator), Transcrime and Tilburg University.
