Bachelor’s degree in Criminology

Transcrime supports the coordination of Criminology, curriculum of the BSc in Sociology offered by the Faculty of Political and Social Sciences of the Università Cattolica of Milan. Launched in the 2025/26 academic year, this curriculum is the first of its kind in Italy and Europe, and offers an innovative and multidisciplinary approach to criminology. It is taught entirely in English and designed to provide an international classroom environment.
The programme focuses on crime, criminal behaviour and their social implications. By integrating sociology, psychology, law and political science, it provides students with a comprehensive understanding of criminology, with an emphasis on crime prevention and security. The programme equips students with advanced skills in conducting research and interpreting complex data by offering in-depth training in methodology and data analysis, including an introduction to programming in R/Python.
The programme prepares students for a wide range of roles in the private and public sectors, including:
- Law Enforcement, Criminal Investigation, and Crime Analyst
- Crime and Security Policy Officer and Analyst
- Compliance Officer
- Crime Prevention and Security Manager
