Federica Daphne Ierace is a junior researcher at Transcrime since December 2017. In February 2017 she graduated with honours from the Catholic University of the Sacred Heart in Milan with a Master’s degree in International Relations. Her final dissertation focused on cyberspace and its use for terrorist purposes. Later, she attended a course in Profiling and Psychology of Terrorism at the King’s College London to further increase her knowledge on the roots and possible evolution of violent extremism. Formerly intern at Transcrime in 2016, she now collaborates on project TRAin TRAINING, which aims at enhancing and updating the knowledge of violent radicalization in prison, and project NEXUS, which analyzes the phenomenon of cigarette smuggling in Europe and in some Middle-Eastern and North-African countries.
